If you have a child who will soon be starting kindergarten, the Clayton Early Learning Institute knows that this can be both an exciting and a worrisome time for you and your child. So we made this DVD to help you prepare for this big event.

In Part 1, parents, principals, teachers, and kindergarten students explain what you can expect your child to learn in kindergarten. You will see why your child’s regular attendance in kindergarten is important.

Part 2 describes some activities you can do with your child to help prepare him for all the new things he will learn in kindergarten.

Part 3 gives you tips on finding the right kindergarten program for your child, and information on getting your child enrolled.

Part 4 explains how you can support your child’s success in school by being a partner with her teacher in her education.
